A wet, wintery day in Perth did not dent the celebrations of Jess & Josh’s wedding day at Perth City Farm! With expert planning with all their vendors, they made sure they and guests were kept warm, cozy & comfortable even though temperatures, the wind and rain were trying to put a damper on the day.

The ceremony took place at the beautiful Perth College’s St Michael Chapel before guests headed across the road to have some cake and champagne in one of the college rooms out of the rain with The Little Bar Cart providing the bubbles for guests.

The immediate wedding party then headed off for photos at Como The Treasury, where Jess & Josh were booked in to stay for a couple of nights, so that we could have photos that were sheltered from the rain but after signing the waiver paperwork, we could head to THAT gorgeous gallery area for all the photos! They bravely headed outside to get some images with the stunning old (for Perth) architecture before heading off to join their guests for pre-dinner drinks at Perth City Farm.

There are 2 buildings at the farm that can be used as inside wedding venues and because it was a winter wedding, Josh & Jess were able to use both, allowing their stunning reception set up to stay hidden as guests drank Mulled wine in the gallery before the reception area was revealed. The planning by A Moveable Feast with styling and catering was spectacular. Guests had relaxation areas with heaters & blankets, there was a hot cocoa bar, mulled wine, port and all the things to make for a cozy winter party. The sharing plate food was mouthwatering good and the donut wall just topped off a spectacular evening of food, drinks, fun, dancing and the odd confetti canon entrance & sparkler exit.

Lots of couples will fear a winter wedding but with the right amount of planning, an amazing night can be had by all! Jess & Josh’s wedding will be talked about for years to come because of the care & consideration they took to ensure all their guests had a fabulous time.
