ROTTNEST WEDDING | HANNAH & JOSH

Hannah & Josh met while studying the Dramatic Arts, both have entirely different careers now and spent more of 2018 apart than together because of those careers. But together they created a gorgeous ceremony & reception in two of my favourite places, Rottnest Island for their ceremony and Fremantle for their reception.

Their ceremony was held at the basin with a backdrop of white sand and aqua waters (we won’t mention the flies). After photos on the beach we headed to some much needed shade where I love the windswept trees of Rottnest and the occasional quokka popping by. It was also the main thoroughfare for the triathlons run-leg but Hannah, Josh & bridal party were cheering on every runner in-between photos.

Lunch at the bakery of course then a quick trip to the pub before the ferry back to Freo.

Hannah had a dress change and it was onto Little Creatures for the reception, where those arts skills were put on full display with the first dance, then guests were treated to a performance by The Lost Quays and they partied well into the night.

Settle back with a cuppa, there are a lot of images in this post but towards the end you will be rewarded with a pastel sunset that only Freo can serve up on the water…
