Fremantle Weddings

First hot day in 8 months and we were lucky to be in Fremantle as it was a lot cooler than the rest of Perth! Kate & Adrian organised with their wedding planner Mardie from Mardie & Co an amazing celebration! It started with a early afternoon ceremony at the recently renovated Blessed Edmund Chapel at CBC Fremantle, the first wedding since the reopen.

200 people packed the church then spilled out into the CBC courtyard to be greeted by an afternoon reception with a Photo Booth, music, pizza & paella, a caravan bar and a few early speeches. Mixed in with the decor were amazing paper flower installations that Kate's Mum made for the day!

The west end of Fremantle provided a beautiful backdrop for portraits then onto Bathers Beach for a few more before a more intimate evening reception at Bathers Beach House, with gorgeous views over the beach and the sun dipping into the ocean.

I used to work at Bathers Beach House when it was Sails back in the early 2000s and this was the first reception I have photographed here. The space was beautifully decorated with florals and foliage from Matthew Landers, furniture from Choice Weddings and Events, linen from Hire Society, and the finishing touch, olive oil made by Kate's Grandparents for the guests.

What made their wedding seem so intimate was that many of the little details were a celebration of family, the Portuguese tarts made by Adrian's Grandmother, the olive oil made by Kate's Grandparents for the guests to take home, amazing paper flowers, church pews and CBC decorations from Kate's mum and Kate's nephews Jack and Isaac DeMarte the talented pianists for the ceremony.
